Immortalize your name in brick at the gates of Fawcett Stadium in honor of the four original district High Schools: Lehman, Lincoln, McKinley, Timken. In order to fund the entire project, bricks and 8 x 8 pavers in red brick, limestone or granite are available for purchase.
The Mayor’s Young Inventor Challenge awards prizes to city youths who create useful inventions out of recyclable materials. First place winners were awarded $500 gift cards, second place won $250 gift cards and honorable mention received $100 gift cards.
Manuel Halkias, Teacher, Inspiration, Gem! McKinley English teacher, Manuel Halkias has been a speech coach for sixteen years and has had over 250 state qualifiers. He has had state qualifiers every year that he has coached as well as seventeen national qualifiers.
Vision: Every student of the Canton City Schools will achieve at high levels and graduate from high school prepared to enter the work force or college. Mission: Raising student achievement through the work.
On May 3, 2012, the Ohio State Young Scholars Program held its' 25th Annual Induction & Award Ceremony at The All-City Grille located in Timken Sr. High.
