Choices High School, located at 521 Tuscarawas Street West in the historic Timken High School building, serves 282 students in grades 9-12. With a dedicated staff of 20, Choices provides a supportive and flexible learning environment for students who benefit from an alternative approach to education.
Choices High School houses two distinct programs:
- The Pathways Program supports students who need an alternative setting or instructional approach to succeed.
- The Grad Program is designed for students who, at the beginning of their senior year, lack the necessary credits to graduate through the traditional pathway.
At Choices, excellence is achieved through individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs. Leadership is encouraged through opportunities such as Student Council, the Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates (JOG) program, and classroom leadership roles.
Community engagement is a key focus, with partnerships that provide valuable resources for students. These include childcare services through the YWCA, career planning support from the Stark County Educational Service Center, and job preparation through Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates. Additionally, the Choices Speaker Series connects students with community members to explore post-high school opportunities.
Every day, our dedicated staff works toward the goal of inspiring confident, creative, and open-minded learners, ensuring that every student has a pathway to success.
